Chicken Pot Pie(Serves 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken (about 3 lb.)
    salt and pepper
    2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
    4 carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 c. celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
    4 large onions, quartered
    4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
    2 c. (1 pt.) half and half
    1 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    1 recipe easy as pie crust
Preparation
    Place chicken sprinkled with salt and pepper into a Dutch oven or kettle; add chicken broth.
    Cover and simmer gently for 40 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    Remove chicken pieces and set aside.
    Cool.
    Add vegetables to broth.
    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Stir in half and half and poultry seasoning.
