Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
12 Tbsp. (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine (room temperature)
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
coarse white decorative sugar
Preparation

Vanilla Dough: Stir together 1 1/4 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt in bowl. Beat together 6 tablespoons butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla in large bowl. Beat in flour mixture until dough forms. Shape dough into flat disk and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill at least 2 hours.
