Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 to 9 sweet potatoes
3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 lemon
1/2 stick butter
nutmeg
Preparation

Boil potatoes until almost tender.
Peel and cut in half. Cook sugar, water and lemon until thickened.
Pour over potatoes. Cut butter over potatoes and add a little nutmeg.
Cook until candied.
