Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 medium onion, chopped
1 egg, well beaten
milk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except milk.
Add enough milk to form balls.
Drop from teaspoon into hot fat in which fish has been fried or cook along with fish.
Cook until well browned and cooked throughout.
Serves 4.
