Lady Baltimore Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. water
3 egg whites, beaten
Preparation

Sift flour once; measure.
Add baking powder and salt and sift together 3 times.
Cream the butter well.
Add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add flour alternately with liquids, a small amount at a time.
Beat after each addition until smooth.
Add flavoring; fold in egg whites.
Bake in 2 greased 9-inch layer pans at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
