2 c. all-purpose unbleached flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 stick butter, chilled and broken into pieces
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 pt. fresh blueberries
3 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour baking sheet, shaking off excess flour.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar in large bowl.
Using a pastry blender or fork add 1 stick butter (do not substitute margarine) until mixture resembles cornmeal.
Form a well in the mixture and add buttermilk.
Mix well with fork.
Fold blueberries in gently with wooden spoon. Turn onto floured surface and lightly knead 10 to 12 turns.
Cut with biscuit cutter or mold by hand into 10 to 12 biscuits.
Place on baking sheet and place in center of oven on 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
