Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, shredded
    1 onion, chopped
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    8 oz. American cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook cabbage in salt water until tender.
    Drain.
    In large skillet mix soup, onion and cheese until cheese is melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in cabbage.
    Pour into an ungreased 2-quart baking dish.
    Lightly brown crumbs in butter.
    Sprinkle on top. Bake uncovered at 350\u00b0
    for 20 to 30 minutes.
