Mr. Mac'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (No. 2) cans pinto beans
    4 lb. chili meat
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves crushed garlic
    1 tsp. ground oregano
    4 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin
    2 c. hot water
    red pepper
Preparation
    In a large pot, cook together meat, onion and garlic until gray in color.
    Add chili powder, salt, oregano, cumin and hot water. Mix well.
    Simmer half hour, skimming fat as needed.
    Add beans and simmer another half hour.
    Add red pepper to taste.
    Yields 2 1/2 quarts.
