Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. oil
2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 c. boiling water
2 c. flour

Preparation

Place eggs, sugar, molasses, cloves, cinnamon and oil into deep bowl and beat well.
Dissolve baking soda in 1/8 cup boiling water.
Add to beaten mix.
Stir.
Add flour.
Beat well.
Add 1 cup boiling water and beat lightly.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
