Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sifted plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar.
Mix well.
Add vanilla and unbeaten eggs; beat until well blended.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add nuts.
Gradually add to sugar mixture.
Drop cookie dough into an ungreased pan and bake the cookies until light brown at 400\u00b0.
