Taco Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 envelope taco seasoning mix
    1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 C. light sour cream
    1 C. light cottage cheese
    2 C. crushed tortilla chips
    2 C. (8 oz.) shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Coat 2 1/2 quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
    In large skillet, brown ground beef. Remove from heat.
    Drain any excess liquid.
    Add onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning and tomato sauce.
    Mix well.
    In medium bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese.
    Place half the crushed chips in bottom of prepared casserole dish.
    Add enough meat mixture to cover chips, then cover meat with half the sour cream mixture and sprinkle with half the shredded cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake in preheated oven 30 to 35 minutes until cheese melts and casserole is heated through.
