Pocatello Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. milk
5 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1 c. mashed potatoes
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar, divided
1 tsp. vanilla
4 large eggs, separated
2 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. chocolate chips, coarsely chopped
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
confectioners sugar

Preparation

In a small saucepan, heat milk to simmer; add chocolate.
Stir until melted.
Stir milk mixture into mashed potatoes.
Cool.
