German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    3/4 to 1 c. dill pickles, chopped
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. mayonnaise
    6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes; peel and slice thinly.
    Fry bacon until crisp. Mix potatoes, onion, oil, salt and pepper.
    Add crumbled bacon and mayonnaise.
    Mix well.
    Add sliced hard-boiled eggs and mix in gently.
    Note:
    Mixing with your hands is better than with a spoon as it is easier to feel the consistency after adding oil and mayonnaise.
