Beef And Beer Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 lb. beef stew meat
ground pepper
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsalted margarine or butter
1 Tbsp. flour
12 oz. beer
1/2 to 1 tsp. hot sauce
1 c. thinly sliced, fresh mushrooms
6 medium onions, thinly sliced
Preparation

Heat oil in a large skillet; brown meat in oil.
Season with ground pepper and remove to Dutch oven.
Melt margarine in same skillet; add mushrooms and onions and sprinkle with flour.
Cook and stir mushrooms and onions until onions are tender.
Put mushrooms, onion, etc. into Dutch oven with meat.
Add beer and simmer, uncovered over low heat, stirring occasionally until meat is tender, about 2 hours.
Stir in pepper to taste and hot sauce. Cool.
Cover tightly and refrigerate for 8 hours.
