Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 stick oleo (1/2 c.)
Preparation

Brown 1/2 cup sugar in a large iron skillet.
At the same time, be cooking other mixture. (Mix egg with sugar, then add milk and oleo.)
When sugar gets brown, pour mixture into skillet and boil until thick (will be thick enough when you can pull spoon through it and see bottom of skillet).
Remove from heat and beat until cool enough to spread.
