Country Green Beans - cooking recipe

1 lb. fresh green beans
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. cubed, cooked ham
1/4 c. butter or oleo
1/4 c. water
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in saucepan; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until beans are tender.
