Pecan Crescent Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
    Add water, beating well.
    Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring well.
    Stir in vanilla and pecans.
    Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch crescents.
    Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Yield: 3 dozen.
