Homemade Mints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (room temperature)
1 tsp. peppermint or butter flavoring
food color (optional; any color)
1 (1 lb.) box plus 1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix the cream cheese and flavoring together.
Mix in sugar (use fork at first, then hands).
Knead, adding more sugar if it is too sticky.
Roll into balls about the size of a marble.
Place on wax paper.
Flatten with back of fork.
Allow to harden before serving.
Makes 80 mints.
