Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onions
    3 c. chopped celery
    3 c. sliced carrots
    3 medium potatoes, cubed
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 pkg. MBT beef broth or au jus powder or 2 cans beef broth
    1/2 tsp. chopped bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 c. dried parsley
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onions and celery.
    Brown hamburger.
    Put in slow cooker; add
    rest of vegetables.
    Change flavor by adding more spices or salsa.
    If
    done on burner, simmer for 30 minutes on medium.
    Be careful not to scorch; stir often.
    Freezes well.
