Jean'S Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (29 oz.) can pork and beans
    1 (15 oz.) can each: pinto beans, kidney beans, French-style green beans, drained and Great Northern beans or navy beans
    1/2 bottle chili sauce or barbecue sauce
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 bell pepper
    1 onion
    4 to 6 strips bacon
Preparation
    Saute bell pepper, onion and bacon.
    Add to beans.
    (If you use the barbecue sauce, you may add diced green chiles or 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.)
    Simmer for 30 minutes or cook on slow in a crock-pot for 4 to 6 hours.
    Good for pot luck dinners and picnics.
