Venison With Sour Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. venison, cut in 2-inch cubes
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 c. shortening, melted
    1 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. onion, diced
    1 c. carrots, diced
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    hot cooked noodles (optional)
    1 bay leaf
    4 Tbsp. melted butter
    4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. commercial sour cream
    dash of pepper
    parsley
Preparation
    Place venison, garlic and shortening in a skillet.
    Brown meat on all sides over medium heat.
    Remove meat to a shallow (2 1/2-quart) baking dish.
    Add celery, onion and carrots to drippings in skillet and saute for 2 minutes.
    Stir in water, salt, pepper and bay leaves.
    Pour over venison.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
