Lithuanian Honey Cake(Meduolis) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. honey
    1/2 c. butter
    4 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. thick sour cream
    2/3 c. currants
Preparation
    Cream the butter with sugar.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time. Keep beating until light and fluffy.
    Beat in the honey.
    Sift the flour with all other dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with sour cream.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
    Stir into a 13 x 9-inch buttered pan and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Cool in pan.
    Slice cake into five long lengthwise strips.
    Then cut each strip diagonally into diamond shapes.
