Will'S Favorite Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. peeled and finely chopped apples
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    In medium saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts. Cut shortening in flour.
    Add milk; stir with a fork.
    Turn out onto floured board and knead until smooth.
    Roll out dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
    Sprinkle apples over dough; sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
    Roll up dough like a jelly roll.
    Slice dough into slices, about 1/2-inch thick.
    Place in pan with melted butter.
    Pour sugar syrup around rolls.
    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
