Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of ground nutmeg
Preparation

Prepare unbaked pie shell.
Cream butter and sugar together with mixer.
Add flour and eggs; beat well.
Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmeg.
Pour filling into pie shell.
Bake on lower rack of oven at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Place on wire rack and let cool completely before serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
