Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. oil
7 unbeaten egg yolks
3/4 c. cold water
1 c. egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves in big bowl.
Make a well and add oil, egg yolks and cold water.
Beat with spoon until smooth.
Measure egg whites and cream of tartar into large bowl, whip until it forms stiff peaks.
Pour egg yolk mixture gradually over whipped egg whites, gently folding with spoon until blended.
Pour into ungreased tube pan.
Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
Cool before icing.
