Seafoam Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
2 eggs
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and cream of tartar.
Cover and boil 5 minutes.
Uncover, wipe sides of saucepan with a damp cloth.
Boil without stirring to firm ball stage (245\u00b0 to 248\u00b0).
Pour slowly, stirring constantly, over stiffly beaten egg whites.
Add flavoring.
Continue beating until candy holds its shape when dropped from a spoon.
Drop teaspoonful onto waxed paper. Sprinkle with nuts.
