Rice Krispies Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    6 to 10 oz. regular marshmallows (about 40 large) or 4 c. miniature marshmallows
    5 c. Rice Krispies cereal
Preparation
    Melt margarine in 3-quart saucepan.
    Add marshmallows and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is syrupy.
    Remove from heat.
    Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
    Press warm mixture evenly and firmly into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Cut into squares when cool.
    Yields 24 (2 x 2-inch) treats.
