Escalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes or 5 or 6 fresh ripe tomatoes
    4 to 5 slices leftover toast or bread
    1/2 stick oleo or butter
    salt and pepper
    pinch of sugar
    1/2 tsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 30 to 40 minutes.
