Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    5 tsp. cornstarch or 4 1/2
    4 Tbsp. strawberry jello
    1 baked 9-inch pie crust
Preparation
    Cook sugar, cornstarch and water until clear.
    Add jello to hot mixture and stir to dissolve jello.
    Cool.
    Add one quart washed, whole strawberries to cooked pie crust.
    Pour cooled mixture over berries.
    Refrigerate until set, approximately 4 hours.
    Top with whipped cream, if desired.
