Cheese And Trees Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. chopped onion
    4 medium potatoes (1 1/3 lb.), cubed 1/3-inch
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen, chopped broccoli, drained and thawed
    2 chicken bouillon cubes or use chicken broth for water
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (sharp)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    Add onion and saute for 5 minutes.
    Add potatoes, water or broth. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
    Remove 1 cup of potatoes with slotted spoon.
    Set aside.
