Sugar And Honey Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. honey
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan; mix well.
    Cook mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
    Continue cooking, without stirring, until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240\u00b0).
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture begins to thicken.
    Stir in pecan halves, working rapidly, pour mixture onto waxed paper and separate pecans with a fork.
    Let cool.
    Yields 4 cups.
