Pineapple Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large cans crushed pineapple, drain 2 cans
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix sugar and pineapple.
    Add flour or starch.
    Place on stove and cook 5 to 8 minutes (pineapple cooks quickly).
    Add flavoring. Cool icing before spreading on cake layers.
