Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 cucumbers, sliced
1 red pepper, diced
1 green pepper, diced
3 large onions, thinly sliced
4 c ice water
1/2 c salt
2 c vinegar
2 c boiling water
1 T mustard seed
1 T celery seed
1 1/2 c sugar
Preparation

Combine ice water and vegetables.
Let stand for 2 hours, then drain.
Combine vinegar, sugar, boiling water and seasonings and bring to a boil.
Add vegetables and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes.
Put into jars, cover with syrup mixture and seal according to canning directions.
