Almeta'S Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3.5 oz.) box butterscotch pudding (not instant)
    1 c. granulated white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. canned milk
    1 generous Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix pudding, sugar and milk in large saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
    Add nuts; boil 5 minutes more or until a soft ball stage when dropped in cold water.
    Remove from heat, add margarine and vanilla.
    Stir until mixture starts to thicken (like fudge).
    Drop in small patties on waxed paper.
    Cool, but remove pralines while still warm to prevent sticking.
