French Canadian Meat Pie(Tortiere) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground lean pork
    1 lb. ground beef chuck
    2 large onions, finely chopped (2 c.)
    1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    2 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery salt
    1 1/2 to 2 tsp. ground pepper
    1 c. water
    3 medium potatoes, mashed (about 1 1/2 lb.)
    pie crust for 2 pies
Preparation
    Combine pork, beef, onion and garlic in large heated skillet. Cook, stirring often, until meats lose pink color.
    Stir in poultry seasoning, salt, celery salt, pepper, sage and water; cover.
    Simmer for 20 minutes; uncover.
    Simmer for 10 minutes longer.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in mashed potatoes.
    Cool.
