Fried Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

about 6 c. okra
1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 c. sweet milk
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Wash okra.
Cut into slices.
Don't use stem or tip.
Mix together egg and milk.
Add to okra and mix well, coating all okra.
Put meal and flour into a large bowl or gallon Ziploc bag. Add salt and pepper and mix or shake well.
Add okra to batter and mix well until coated or seal bag and shake well until coated. Fry in about 1-inch of oil until brown on all sides.
Drain well on paper towel.
