Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 boneless chicken breasts (double breasts)
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (3 oz.) can mushroom slices, drained
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder or 2 garlic cloves, minced
Preparation
    Brown chicken in a large skillet on both sides.
    Remove chicken.
    In reserved oil, saute onion, green peppers and garlic (if cloves are used).
