Yeast Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 tsp. salt
    1 yeast cake
    4 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast cake in 1 cup of lukewarm water.
    Add remaining 3 cups of water.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff batter.
    Set in warm place.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Make out buns; let rise and bake at 350\u00b0.
