Fried Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh okra, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 egg white, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water
1 c. meal
1 c. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
-
Cut okra into 1/2-inch slices.
Beat egg white with water. Pour over okra.
Coat okra with egg and water mixture.
Combine all other ingredients and pour over okra.
Cook in hot fat until golden brown.
