Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    6 grated apples, peeled
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs together.
    Add apples.
    Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together and add to creamed mixture.
    Pour into a 9 x 11-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    This pudding/cake is great with the following sauce poured over each serving (preferably warm).
