Saucy Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. peeled, sliced turnips
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
3 small green onions, sliced
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Place turnips in a large saucepan.
Add 1/4 cup water; bring to a boil.
Cover; cook for 12 minutes.
Add green onions, butter, garlic powder and salt.
Cook an additional 5 minutes.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water; add to turnips, stirring until combined.
Add cheese; cook until cheese melts.
Serves 6.
