Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch or 5 Tbsp. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch or flour and salt in the top of a double boiler; stir in cold milk.
Cook over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly.
Cover and cook 15 minutes longer. Stir a little of the hot mixture into slightly beaten egg yolks. Add to remaining mixture in double boiler and cook for two minutes over hot, not boiling, water, stirring constantly.
Cool and add vanilla, then put in an 8-inch baked pie shell.
Spread meringue over filling and bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
