"Surprise" Breakfast Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
    2 tsp. plus 1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    10 fig bars, crumbled
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, 2 teaspoons soft butter, cinnamon and crumbled fig bars; set aside.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs until frothy; beat in sugar and 1/3 cup melted butter until well combined.
    Add vanilla and milk.
    Beat in flour mixture until well combined.
    Pour half of mixture into greased and lightly floured 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Spread half of fig mixture over cake batter and top with remaining cake mixture and fig mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    (The blueberry and apple bars are good too!)
