Ingredients

1 qt. white vinegar
1 qt. water
3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. salt
pinch of alum in each jar
2 garlic cloves in each pint
Preparation

Pack raw peppers into jars.
Bring vinegar, water and sugar to a hard boil; pour the hot liquid into jars and seal.
Makes 6 pints.
