Jubilee Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. ReaLemon lemon juice
Preparation
    Melt butter; add sugar, corn syrup and salt.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes (mixture will become slightly opaque).
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
    Add the lemon juice and beat vigorously.
    Serve hot or cold.
    The sauce may separate while in refrigerator.
    If this happens, beat vigorously until it resumes original appearance. Serve over fruit cake, bread, puddings, etc.
