Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. onion
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (or Swiss)
1 c. thinly sliced or chopped ham (or 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled)
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. sour cream (or cream)
dash of pepper and nutmeg
1/4 c. slivered almonds (optional)
Preparation

Saute onion in butter until tender.
In bottom of pastry shell, sprinkle cheese, ham and onion.
Combine eggs, sour cream and seasonings and pour over ingredients in pie shell.
May top with nuts.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
