Emily'S Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh medium green tomatoes, sliced with peelings on
    salt and pepper
    vegetable cooking oil
    corn meal
Preparation
    Wash off tomatoes; slice.
    Salt and pepper both sides.
    Put in a skillet over medium to high heat, turning heat down so they don't burn.
    Make sure skillet has enough oil to coat the tomatoes. Before frying, coat tomatoes in a mixture of corn meal.
    (I put salt and pepper in corn meal in addition to seasoning the tomatoes.)
    Fry until brown.
    Remove from skillet.
    Drain off grease.
    Put fried tomatoes on paper towels.
    Serve hot.
