Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mushrooms
    3/4 c. green pepper (optional)
    3 sticks margarine
    3 tsp. salt
    pepper and garlic to taste
    6 c. chicken broth
    6 c. evaporated milk (4 cans)
    2 chickens, boiled, boned and diced
    1 1/2 pimientos, diced
    1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Brown mushrooms and pepper in margarine. Blend in flour and seasonings over low heat. Stir until smooth.
    Blend in chicken broth and evaporated milk. Stir until mixture comes to a boil. Add chicken and pimientos.
    Stir until correct thickness.
    Serve over pastry, English muffins or biscuits.
    To reheat mixture, add small amount of milk. Freezes well.
