Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. water
    1 lb. red beans
    1 head garlic, peeled
    ham hock, bacon or smoked pork pieces
    2 onions, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    salt to taste
    rice
Preparation
    Add ingredients (except rice) all at once to a large pot. Cook for 3 hours at medium heat until beans are very soft and 1/2 the liquid remains.
    Serve over rice.
