Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. self-rising flour
2 c. Martha White self-rising white corn meal
1 large purple onion, chopped
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
milk
vegetable oil

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Add enough milk to make a stiff dough. Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil.
Fry until browned.
